Hello. My name is Robert, the brain behind The Expatographer. I am 42 years old. My interests include travel, food, tech, astronomy and nature, among others. I am from the U.S.A., but have relocated to Penang, Malaysia to marry the love of my life.
One of my main hobbies is photography. Always seeking new ways to view the world through my lens, I want to be able to show my world in fresh ways. Whether covering the newly-refurbished back alleys of Penang or the delicate blooms of Japan's spring, it is my hope to engage you, my readers, so as to inspire you to want to explore our world in your own new and exciting ways.
So far, I have been to four of Asia's finest nations: Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Japan. My eyes, taste buds and camera have partaken in some of the most beautiful and exciting metropolises on this planet.
I have been featured in this BBC Capital article, "Newlyweds With No Country To Call Their Own" in June, 2016.
I, also, was featured in the Feb. 2016 issue of ExpatGo magazine in their monthly "Expat Extracts" section.
This blog will cover a myriad of topics including my experiences here in the Far East. Enjoy!!
